Ex-wife of slain NBA player Lorenzen Wright arrested in connection with his death The ex-wife of slain former NBA player Lorenzen Wright has been arrested in California in connection with his death, according to a report by The Memphis Commercial Appeal . Wright was murdered in Memphis in 2010 in a case that went unsolved for years. But on Dec. 5, police arrested a Memphis man, 46-year-old Billy Turner and charged him with first-degree murder in the case. 6-Acre Brush Fire Scorches El Sereno Area :   Los Angeles Fire Department air and ground crews quickly knocked down a six-acre brush fire in El Sereno on Friday afternoon. The fire was reported shortly before 1 p.m. and burned uphill near the 2500 block of North Soto Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. It was extinguished in about an hour and 10 minutes. Air units also were sent the scene. No structures were threatened, and no injuries were reported. The area is about a mile north of the USC Health Sciences campus, which was not affected.

Earthquake of 5.5 magnitude hits Uttarakhand: Strong tremors were earthquake were felt in the Delhi-NCR region and Uttarakhand on Wednesday around 8:50 pm . There is no report of any loss of life or property as of now.  Tremors were also reported from Uttaranchal, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. As per IMD, the epicentre of the earthquake was Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag, with a Magnitude of 5.5 and depth of 30 km. Strong tremors were felt in Uttarakhand' s Nainital, Udham Singh nagar, Champavat, Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Hrishikesh. In UttarPradesh tremors were felt in Meerut and Baghpat.
